Steve Sloan grew up in Nebraska, and with his guitar,
worked his way through college, the Sorbonne University
in Paris, France, and law school (Juris Doctor '67).
Upon graduation he formed a singing duo with Gail Randall
(Miss Omaha 1966) and "Steve & Gail" performed at folk houses
and night clubs across America. In 1969 they joined The New
Christy Minstrels, one of the country's most popular folk-singing
groups with 14 Gold Records.
Over the past 35 years, Steve enjoyed a successful career in
real estate investment and brokerage. For 15 years he was a leader
of a humanitarian organization which helped save over one million Jews,
Baptists and Jehovah's Witnesses from persecution in the Soviet Union.
Steve and Michi, his wife of 40 years, and their two children live in Marin County, California.
